Haines Junction; 985 miles west of Dawson Creek, is at the junction of the Alcan and Haines Hwy, which runs south to Haines AK. This popular wildlife sculpture highlights the junction. The area was first settled by First Nations Southern Tutchone. The Da Ku Cultural Centre covers their history, and Kluane National Park information. Haines Junction is the gateway to this spectacular national park.
