Whitehorse
lies along the Yukon River 10.6 miles north of Wolf Creek Campground.
The Robert Service Way exit leads to the city; otherwise, the Alcan
passes west of it. Being the capital of Yukon Territory, Whitehorse
has a variety of hospitality venues, as well as government services
for the traveler; too many to describe on this site. The Yukon Visitor
Centre is a good place to start. Stained glass art at the entrance
depicts Yukon scenes. Murals on other buildings have First Nation
and later historical themes. |
