There
are many artifacts representing residents of Whitehorse through the
years. The totem poles, and sculpture on the Waterfront Walkway symbolize
the longevity of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation in the area. The Kwanlin
Dun Cultural Centre is 4 blocks north on the walkway. The mural on
the CBC radio station honors their broadcasters. The seaplanes, moored
at a Yukon River dock, are one mode of modern transportation. The
entrance to the Yukon Visitor Information Center displays Yukon scenes
in stained glass, above the doors, right. |
