Information
panels give the important facts from Teslin's past. As with other
Alcan river and lake crossings, Teslin Lake and river were used by
hunters, trappers, miners, and traders to move about the country.
The Teslin River flows northwest into the Yukon River; which passes
through the Klondike Gold Fields - the target for the Klondike Gold
Rush of 1897-98. Teslin started as a trading post in 1903. The Nisutlin
Trading Post still services travelers. Teslin Lake, view south. |
