Another
geological site appears 20 miles west of the Continental Divide turnout.
The Alcan proceeds west through Swift River village in Yukon Territory.
Then it dips south into British Columbia for about 40 miles, mostly
along the Swift River, before returning to YT. Swan Lake appears as
a wide spot on the river. An information panel tells the story of
volcanic upheaval eons ago - fortunately under water. A radiant sunrise
appears from the east in the Swift River area, right. |
